Essential Martial Arts Tai Chi program will provide you with a series of fluid and rhythmic movements that can help: Reduce stress, tone muscles, loosen joints, increase circulation, improve digestion, improve mood, improve balance & coordination.   While our program is focused on bringing out the health benefits of Tai Chi, we will give you ideas on how these beautiful and ancient movements can be utilized for self-defense.

Our program promotes: Proper posture, correct breathing and staying within yourself. Tai Chi practice is rewarding and fun at Essential Martial Arts.

Easy Tai Chi + QiGong (energy exercises)
 


Our modern approach to Tai Chi is for the practitioner to immediately start seeing the benefits of QiGong and Tai Chi.  We understand that you are busy - so are we!  That is why we focus on Dr. Keith Jeffery's Easy Tai Chi System which is wonderful synthesis of Yang and Chen Style Tai Chi along with basic QiGong exercises. 

Dr. Jeffery, a 30 year practitioner of Tai Chi, has developed a modern approach to a classical art, in which core and fundamental positions are stressed in a simple format.  This simple, yet challenging approach can also be easily adapted and adjusted to any injuries or physically limitations you may have.   We will show you how just 10 minutes of Tai Chi a day can help to enhance your life!

Additionally, we teach Dr. Jeffery's 4 minute fitness routine which consists of 5 energizing, deep breathing and QiGong exercises that will help you to develop: Balance, Energy and a more Positive Attitude. This routine is amazing!  Anyone can do it and everyone will benefit from it!

Essential Martial Arts Students will also learn additional QiGong exercises from a variety of sources!

Mr. Hendrix has also studied the Sun Style of Tai Chi by becoming a certified instructor in the complete Tai Chi for Arthritis program while also learning the Sun 73 competition form and training in the original Sun 98 long form. However, Hendrix now focuses exclusively on Dr. Jeffery's simple Easy Tai Chi system which blends elements of Yang, Chen and Pakua.
